The three laws of affiliate marketing

If you want to make affiliate marketing work for you then it is crucial to keep in mind three primary rules, a leading affiliate programme manager has revealed.
Kirsty McCubbin has said that, with a little creative thinking, the primary rules of affiliate marketing are not entirely different to Isaac Newton's three laws of motion and can make or break an affiliate marketing effort.
The first thing to remember, she said, is that an affiliate at rest will remain at rest unless they act upon a motivational notion.
"Affiliates have a natural tendency to keep on doing what they are doing," she said.
"If you have a great new idea that you just keep failing to act upon, you’re likely to keep doing that unless you give yourself a bit of a kick."
Secondly she said acting on an idea will take a lot of work, but will provide the necessary acceleration to established success.
"The bigger your idea for success, the more clever you’ll have to be to get it building momentum," she explained. "Affiliate marketing is fueled by a combustible mixture of ideas combined with clever execution."
Thirdly, she concluded that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, using the force pushed against the ground by a rocket in take-off as an example.
"The ground is your idea, the rocket is the effort you put in – and the trajectory you achieve? That’s all down to what you packed you rocket with," she added.
