New local e-commerce app launched

Jan 13, 2011
One of the major buzz subjects at the Affiliate Marketing West summit this week has been that of local marketing being the key to success this year.

LuckyLocal.com has a new product that spoke directly to the online marketers desperate to establish local lines of e-commerce. The local shopping app, called CommissionLocal.com, is useful in that is provides consumers with information about stores, inventories, prices and products on sale in their locality.

The app could be used by affiliate marketers to promote products and brands through offers, adverts and discounts that could be provided exclusively to users of the site.

Dov Herman, the founder of the application, explained, "Local shopping is the next frontier of e-commerce. Our affiliate program, CommissionLocal, makes it fast, easy and affordable to have local shopping on your site and earn sizeable commissions from sales."

Industry insiders expect this to be one of the first in a long line of similar local marketing tools launched in 2011 as more and more emphasis is put on local services. Web users are increasingly keen to know what is being offered in their vicinity and no longer expect to be bombarded with information about stores and brands from the other side of the country.
